In the last years we have been in constant transition. In fact, it seems like it has increased the last 2 years. With the transition there has come revelation, and with the revelation has come understanding, and with understanding has come responsibility. God Almighty has been pouring out revelation to those who have ears to hear and eyes to see. The more revelation He has given the more we have clearly heard Him calling us up higher on His Holy Mountain.

As humans we want to settle and be comfortable, but as He has called us to be overcomers for His kingdom, we have learned to go when He says go, and wait when He says to wait.

Abraham's Faith Confirmed

Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, "Abraham!"

And he said, "Here I am."

Then He said, "Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."  Genesis 22:1-2 (NKJV)

In the testing we are told to go to sacrifice what is most precious in our lives. Our Father knows the faith it takes for us to lay things down on the altar, for He Himself has been there and gone through exactly that when His only begotten Son was slain on the cross.

As we read further in Genesis 22 we see something very interesting.

3 So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. 4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off. 5 And Abraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you."

6 So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went together. 7 But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, "My father!"

And he said, "Here I am, my son."

Then he said, "Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?"

8 And Abraham said, "My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering." So the two of them went together.

When the last part of the journey up His Mountain comes, we often find ourselves alone with only the "promise" from our heavenly Father left. We even have to put the "wood of the burnt offering" on the back of the promise! In many ways it is the faith in Him and His promise to us that keeps us going. He has given us a fire and a zeal that burns with a steady hope that He is with us. This fire is the revelation that we are a firebrand for Him and that we are determined to go all the way up this mountain to obey the One that has called us. As we start ascending up the mountain, we are doing that together with our promise. In the one hand we have fire and in our other hand is the knife that will cut away everything that cannot follow us where we are going. False words and dreams, agendas and motives that are not of Him will have to go, and this we can understand, but that we have to even put the promise He gave to us on the altar is very hard to both understand and to do.

Who Do You Trust?

This is where we say: "Not my will, but Yours be done!" This is where our transitions have led us, to the pinnacle of all testings, where we will see that only by trusting in Him and obeying Him will bring us through.

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)

One of the ways you will know that you have come to this place, is that there are no other options. Earlier in your journey with Him, there seemed to be more options, but now there`s only One. You simply have to come into agreement with His words for you and keep going up the mountain.

We continue in Genesis 22:

9 Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. 10 And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son.

11 But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, "Abraham, Abraham!"

So he said, "Here I am."

12 And He said, "Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me."

13 Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, "In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided."

It is in the steepest side of the mountain that He sees what is in you, where He tests you to see if you are ready for the full transaction of what He has to provide. As we obey Him and trust Him, we have also shown Him that we do fear only Him and will continue even if we lose all things. As Abraham called the place The-Lord-Will-Provide, so also will we come to a true understanding that without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6)

It is very important to align in agreement with our Father when He speaks truth into our lives. So many times we have seen that as we align to His ways and seek His kingdom, our minds are being changed. It is by this renewal of our minds that we experience to be transformed by the renewing of our mind so that we might prove what is that good and acceptable and the perfect will of God. (Rom. 12:2)

This is where we are becoming living sacrifices to God, and this is where the amazing transaction will take place where we have learned to seek first the kingdom of God and we are seeing that all things (needed according to our purpose) are being added to us. It is also here that we learn that it is His good pleasure to give us the Kingdom. (Luke 12:31-32)

Lets continue in Genesis 22:

15 Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of heaven, 16 and said: "By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son- 17 blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. 18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice."

The Wholeness of the Kingdom

The Kingdom of God is about wholeness. It will accelerate you into His fullness. The Kingdom of God will be a perpetual and continual flow like a mighty river that flows with wisdom and understanding, counsel and might, knowledge and awe and reverence of God. It is a river that brings Christ in us the Hope of Glory to its fullness.

Do not listen to the enemy as he tells you to give up, to quit or to go back. Be strong and courageous in the Lord and keep trusting in Him with all your heart. He is faithful and He will make sure you get through and that you will experience the fullness of the transaction that He has for you in this hour!

Lets thank the Lord that we are moving from transition (preparation) to transaction (Kingdom business) and that we will be in agreement with Him to receive all that He has promised us to advance His Kingdom. We say yes for Him to bless us and to multiply all that He has for us and that we shall possess the gates of the enemy!

Much love and grace.

Wow, I needed that.

It is good that you have come with this for I am in a place so tight with no counsel. Your words in due season are truly a testament to your obedience to God. May He Bless you and refresh you as you have done for me. I look forward to someday thanking you in person on the other side of this mountain. God Bless you.
