Are you afraid? Fear is the spirit that comes with unbelief. Peace comes with our believing in what the Father says. Isaiah 26:3 says, "I will keep you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on me because you trust in me." The spirit of fear comes from believing what the enemy of our soul, (I like to call him, "Ole stupid") tells us. What he says TO us, is the direct opposite of what our Heavenly Father says ABOUT us.
 
The Dark is a Veil
 
When we listen to his lies we are taking into our selves his spirit of darkness, which is why after eating the forbidden fruit, Adam and Eve tried to cover themselves. They felt fear and shame even though they had not changed at all, but saw themselves through the veil of Satan's lies. His spirit of darkness was like a dark veil over their spiritual eyes and they could no longer see that they still were the creation of almighty God. The spirit/veil of darkness, which is the nature of Satan, causes us to believe we are something we are not. For example, this overshadowing spirit makes us feel worthless when actually we are so valuable to The Father.  He sent His only Son to remove that veil of darkness from our spirit through His blood. That veil makes us feel that we have to earn the Fathers love and approval even though we are the "apple of His eye" and He totally delights in us. This veil of darkness keeps us from walking in the power and might of our spiritual heritage.
 
Lastly, because of this veil of darkness we, the creation of God Almighty are walking around with spiritual amnesia. Through the blood of Christ that veil/spirit of darkness was removed from our eyes and our true identity is revealed to us. ALL mankind is the creation of God; however, because of the spirit of darkness we now must choose which spirit we will follow.
 
1 John 4:1 (NIV) says it this way, "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God." In John 10:27 (KJV) Jesus said, "My sheep hear My voice and I know them, and they follow Me."  Paul said it is, "By the renewing of our minds" (Rom 12:2)  Peter said we must "let the same mind that be in Christ Jesus be in you/me" (1 Peter 4:1) so that we can now see who we were created to be.
 
Know Who You are
 
We have the character and attributes of our Heavenly Father. We look like him we act like him and we sound like him. The eye is the window of the soul, (Matt 6:22 MSG) and out of our heart the mouth speaks.(Luke 6:45 KJV) Jesus said when I speak I sound just like my Father because I only say what he says. So when you hear me you are hearing him. The older my daughter gets, the more our friends and family tell her, "you look and sound just like your mother."  She does not like it too much, but the fact is, she has my genetic makeup in her. It is the same with our Heavenly Father. We were created in His image. We have His DNA in us. How awesome is that! When we really think about it, how goofy is it for us to walk around in a spirit of fear, confusion, and doubt when we are the sons and daughters of the most HIGH GOD. We are created in HIS image, yet have been separated from Him through the lies and deception of one who was NOT created in the image of God.  And Satan (Aka 'Ole Stupid) wants to trick us into thinking we were not either. To take it further, he tries to make us think it would be blasphemy for us to say that we are in His image. Lies! Lies! And more Lies! God sent His son Jesus to earth for the sole purpose of restoring us back to Himself and to reveal to us WHO we really are.  It is by personal choice that we receive that revelation. We must choose who we will listen to. (John 10:27)  We came from Almighty God because He chose to create us for a relationship with Him, but we must choose to follow Him. We were physically born with a veil of darkness over our spirit, but when we accept Christ as our savior, that veil is removed, and we can see what we really look like. We look just like our Daddy.
 
Remove Your Veil, You are Free!
 
Now some of you may have a hard time with this writing. Some may think I am speaking disrespectfully by calling the Almighty God, "Daddy," but until we understand WHO we are, and that He is Our Father, we will look at Him as some distant dignitary that is to be saluted, but not embraced. We bow before Him, but don't crawl up into His lap like the blood bought children we are. The Word says to come BOLDLY to the throne of God because He who sits on that throne is our daddy. This is not irreverence my brothers and sisters, this is "knowing" who we belong to. He is our ABBA Father and NO LIE from the mouth of darkness is going to keep me from His loving arms. I KNOW WHO I AM because my Daddy God tells me every day and I know his voice so, so, well.  He speaks LIFE to me, NOT death! His love gives me HOPE for a bright and fulfilling future. Through His Word He tells me that He ACTUALLY planned for me to be. (Psalm 139:16)
 
The voice of darkness only speaks death, destruction, doubt and unbelief, but, He, My Father, My Daddy, takes great pleasure at the sound of MY voice.
