IT IS TIME TO COME HOME

I hear the Lord say, America the prodigal, it's time for you to return home.  The Lord says to America , you are my special child who had access to my inheritance.  You had everything that was designed for you, because you were my chosen child.  But you left, you wanted to take the inheritance and go enjoy yourself.  You wanted to take the inheritance I stored up for you.

You chose to take the inheritance and spend it.  So you left and spent it on riotous living.  You spent it on entertainment, on everything that money could buy.  You enjoyed yourself as you spent your riches.  You spent the prosperity that was yours because I had blessed you.  The Lord says, you are my chosen child and I gave you the inheritance because you belonged to me.

But the Lord says, you chose to leave.  You chose to go off and take the inheritance that was yours, my nation America .  You took the wealth and riches that I had prospered you with because of our special relationship.  You went off and enjoyed yourself for a period of time.  You were distracted by having fun, by spending all that you had by entertaining yourself.  You enjoyed yourself with all that money could buy.

Then you saw that you had spent all of your wealth.  You found yourself in a difficult place, where you spent all that you had.  Then you had nothing, and found yourself bankrupt.  There was no more money left to spend, and nowhere to go enjoy yourself.  You realized you were in a bad situation.

The Lord says to America, look at the place you are at now.  Look at the place you find yourself at.  You have spent all that you had.  The Lord says, you enjoyed yourself for a period of time when you walked away from me.  You took the inheritance and spent it on all that life has to offer.  You are like the prodigal son, says the Lord.  Now you find yourself with nothing, because you spent all that you had.  You are in a difficult position.

The Lord says, you are welcome to come home, my prodigal son America .  Don't stay in a place of poverty.  Come back to me, for I am your Father.  I love you and am calling you to come back home.  Leave the place that you find yourself at, and return to me.  I will restore you, and I will welcome you with open arms.  I am calling you to come back to me.  You are welcome to come back even though you left and spent all that you had.

The Lord says, my beloved nation America , turn your heart back to me.   Turn your heart back and come home to me.  I will welcome you with open arms.  I love you and I am reaching my arms out to you.  Take back the position you once had in my kingdom, says the Lord.  I will once again restore you to a place of prosperity in my house.  I am your Father, and I desire to restore you to the relationship you once had with me.

America , you are like the prodigal son who strayed away from me.  You enjoyed yourself and spent all that you had.  But you are welcome to return.  Come home, my child.  Return to your Father's house, and I will restore you, says the Lord.

LUKE 15:11-24

11 And he said, A certain man had two sons: 12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. 13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. 14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. 15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. 17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, 19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. 20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. 21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. 22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: 23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: 24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
