The Holy Spirit is showing me that many of you have become disheartened because that prophetic word has not yet come to pass. For some of you it has been months, and for others it has been years that this promise has not manifested in the natural. In the book of First Timothy, Paul was encouraging Timothy to wage a good warfare concerning the prophecies that were given to him. He wouldn't have told him that if he wasn't going to experience spiritual warfare. Every one of us has received a word from God either through a personal prophetic word, or the bible. The Holy Spirit is showing me that many of you have become disheartened because that prophetic word has not yet come to pass. For some of you it has been months, and for others it has been years that this promise has not manifested in the natural. There is a process between the time that we receive the word, until the word comes to pass. The bible says in 1 Timothy 1:18 that we are to wage a good warfare with that prophecy, and to fight the good fight of faith.
 
The Holy Spirit gave me this analogy of two trees. Two distinct seeds were planted in the same field and at the same time. The first seed was a cherry blossom tree seed and the other was a sequoia tree seed. Each seed had the same care as they were both provided the same sunlight and water. The cherry blossom tree grew quickly and flourished beautifully with brilliant pink flowers and bright green leaves, but the seed of the sequoia tree seemed to be taking a long time to show any signs of growth. As time went on, the cherry blossom tree continued to grow and flourish but the sequoia tree seed didn't appear as if it was going to amount to anything. After some time the sequoia tree began to grow towering over the cherry blossom tree and multiplied in size, surpassing the cherry blossom tree in height, width and overall proportion.
 
Stronger and Deeper Roots
 
The reason why the sequoia tree took longer to grow was because it required stronger and deeper roots to support its tremendous size. Neither tree was insignificant, but each one served their purpose. Although the cherry blossom tree was beautiful to the eye, the sequoia tree grew to be the tallest and strongest tree in the world. In the same way, some of you have promises that are taking longer to come to pass because they are more extensive and wide range. Don't let go of the prophecy that has been given to you no matter how long it takes. Your promise will come into fruition just as these two seeds, which were planted. Every one of us, and every promise is unique and exclusively designed. When His word comes to pass in its appointed time, you will see the vastness of it and you will be amazed at what Jesus has done in your life and ministry.
 
1 Timothy 1:18 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare.
 
1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
 
1 Timothy 6:20-21 O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith.

A few weeks ago, I had a prophetic message titled "The Double Portion Anointing." I wrote about how Elijah trained and mentored Elisha, up until the time the Lord took him up. Elijah asked Elisha what he wants from him when he departs. He replied: "Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me." So, he said, "You have asked a hard thing. As Holy Spirit filled believers, Jesus has given us the ability to see, and do things beyond the natural realm. He has given us discernment from heaven's perspective. We should be able to perceive what the Lord is doing and then release it on this earth, whether it is preaching, a prophetic word, a word of knowledge, healing or one of the other gifts of the Holy Spirit. We have been given these unique gifts to be able to tune into the frequencies of heaven and discern the voice of God. 
If you've ever had a true encounter with Jesus, you know that the experience is life changing. It will leave you with an unquenchable hunger for more revelation on the things of God. There is a remnant who has experienced the supernatural intervention of God in their personal lives and have known the secrets and mysteries of heaven. They long for such times where the presence of the Holy Spirit fills their homes and churches as they get caught up in the Shekinah Glory. They could never go back and be satisfied with a surface-level Christianity, but instead, they will continually press in for another supernatural encounter.
