The Breath of Life by Elaine Tavolacci

By Elaine Tavolacci
One day as I was talking on the phone with a friend, we lost the connection due to high winds. I looked at the phone and the display said "No signal", but then it began to flash the word "Searching."  This went on for some time, so I went to my door to see what was happening outside. As the wind howled and blew turbulently, the Lord gave me this word. Many of you are searching as if you lost your spiritual reception and you need a fresh breath from God. The word breath in the Old Testament is translated from the word "Ruach" and in the New Testament it is translated from the word "Pneuma."  In most scriptures this word is also used interchangeably with the word "Spirit."

The word breath in the Old Testament is translated from the word "Ruach" and in the New Testament it is translated from the word "Pneuma."  In most scriptures this word is also used interchangeably with the word "Spirit."  When God breathed into Adam, He released life into him (ruach). When Jesus breathed on His disciples He said, "Receive the Holy Spirit (pneuma)," and they were filled. Some of you are so exhausted and spiritually fatigued that you feel as if the breath was knocked out of you.  Jesus wants to revive you once again.

The Lord says to those of you who are spiritually famished, "Allow Me to breathe My breath back into you.  Just as Elisha brought the Shunammite woman's dead son back to life as he laid on the boy mouth to mouth, eye to eye, hand to hand, the boy was restored back to life. I will breathe the Ruach that will restore life to you and the Pneuma that will fill you once again. Allow Me to resuscitate you with My breath and revive those dead areas in your life. I will breathe upon you to rekindle the fire that you once had. I will breathe upon you to refresh you once again. In the same way that I breathed upon My disciples after I walked out of the tomb, and walked through the door where they were assembled, I say, 'Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.' In the same way that I breathed upon them, and said to them, 'Receive the Holy Spirit.' You will also receive power as I breathe upon you to commission you into what you were called to do.

And as I breathe upon you, you will receive My anointing to do great exploits and learn how to walk in a new dimension of signs and wonders. As you receive My anointing, you will have dominion over the kingdom of darkness and all the powers of the enemy. The gifts that have been dormant in your life will be activated once again. As you allow Me to breathe My breath into you, you will speak with other tongues, you will prophesy, you will see visions and dream dreams. Just as I used my disciples I will use you in the same way to lay hands on others and transfer My glory into them. Just as I used them to lay hands on the sick, you will be appointed to do the same and the sick shall recover. Just as the day that the Holy Spirit fell upon those in the upper room I will visit you once again in a mighty way. Do not fear this intimacy but receive it, and as you do, your lives will be transformed and My glory will prevail in your life says the Lord."

2 Kings 4:32-35 When Elisha came into the house, there was the child, lying dead on his bed. He went in therefore, shut the door behind the two of them, and prayed to the Lord. And he went up and lay on the child, and put his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes and his hands on his hands; and he stretched himself out on the child, and the flesh of the child became warm. He returned and walked back and forth in the house, and again went up and stretched himself out on him; then the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.

Job 33:4 The Spirit of God has made me,and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

John 20:21-22 Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you." And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit."

Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
